About Me

Hi, I’m Imogen

I’m a Londoner born and bred, and I’ve lived in this fabulous city for most of my life (apart from a couple of years in the sunnier climes of Norwich, Norfolk, and Yangon, Myanmar)

As an Art History graduate and heritage lover, I’m fascinated by historic buildings and the people who lived in them. I’m passionate about telling untold stories about individuals who might get overlooked.

Over the last fifteen years I’ve had the pleasure of working in some amazing buildings including Westminster Abbey, English Heritage’s Chiswick House, and Sir John Soane’s Museum - be sure to visit by candlelight and see the sarcophagus glowing!

I trained at the Golden Key Academy and graduated in 2023. You can also find me guiding at the Brunel Museum, the British Academy and as part of Open House.

Some of my favourite queer spots are Gays the Word, Common Press, the Royal Vauxhall Tavern and Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club.

When I’m not waxing lyrical about London, I love roller skating, singing choral music, and walking my sproodle Sappho along the Regent’s Canal.

Places I’ve guided

‘Hi Imogen, fantastic tour today. I’m going to recommend it to my London mates’
